Waiter/Waitress at Begawan Biji Restaurant

Be a part of a dedicated team using tourism for community development in Bali. Begawan Biji Restaurant is looking for professional and attentive Waiters and Waitress to help us deliver exceptional service to guests in our destination restaurant. Begawan Biji is set in organic permaculture farms and rice fields in Payangan, 20 minutes north of Ubud. The restaurant is dedicated to providing quality education for local children through Begawan Foundation. This is a full-time position open to Indonesian citizens only, ideally those living in Gianyar area.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take detailed reservations and amendments from guests online and offline

• Welcome and guide guests, take down orders including information on allergies, make recommendations and suggestions, care for guests throughout their meal

• Communicate orders and information clearly to and form the kitchen team Memorise food and drink menus, restaurant, and foundation history and details

• Clean and tidy the restaurant along with other team members Prepare table settings and mise en place for service

• Deliver bills to guests and collect payments

• Solve problems and deal with challenging guests

• Guide and train new staff members on standards and work procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 02 years experience working as a host or in a similar position, preferably in customer-facing roles in upscale restaurants or five-star hotels or resorts

• Passion for hospitality and delivering an excellent guest experience

• Able to work well with others and collaborate in a team

• Strong attention to detail, ability to listen well and take direction

• Fluency in Indonesian and good English are desirable, and considered a plus point

• Positive attitude, ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
